Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. RIVAL uses technical cookies necessary for the service to function and optional preference cookies (with user consent). We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.
The application uses browser localStorage to store UI preferences (theme, font size, accent colour). Personalization is available to all users. For logged-in users with full consent, preferences are additionally synchronized with the server. You can change them at any time by clicking the settings icon in the footer.
If you grant push notification permission, the browser stores a subscription token. The token is sent to the server solely to deliver tournament result notifications. You can withdraw consent in your browser settings or by clicking the bell icon on the public event page.
You can manage your cookie consent at any time by clicking the Cookies link in the sidebar footer. Choose "Essential only" to disable preference synchronization with the server, or "Accept all" to enable it. You may also disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may prevent the application from working.
Technical cookies are necessary for service provision and do not require separate consent (Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, exemption for strictly necessary cookies). Preference cookies require user consent, which is expressed by selecting "Accept all" in the cookie banner.
