Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

The data controller for organisers' personal data is Tomasz Iwanowski, e-mail: contact@rival-engine.com. The data controller for event participants (players, referees) is the event organiser.

2. Data We Process

• Organisers: e-mail address, password hash, IP address at login, Google identifier (when signing in with Google), browser user-agent (stored in session history).
• Event participants: full name or nickname (entered by the organiser).
• Activity: in-app events (joining an arena, match results, tournament placements) stored to display activity history.
• Web Push: push subscription tokens (optional, with browser permission).
• Technical data: session cookies, localStorage (UI preferences). For logged-in users, UI preferences are synchronized with the server.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

• Service provision (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract).
• Push notifications — with user consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Security and abuse prevention (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest).

4. Retention Period

Account data is retained until the user deletes their account. Data of inactive accounts (no login for 24 months) may be deleted. Push tokens are removed upon consent withdrawal or account deletion.

5. Recipients of Data

Data is processed on servers provided by Render.com. Depending on the selected region, servers may be located within the European Union or outside it (USA). Where data is processed outside the EEA, the transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission. The hosting provider acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port and object to processing of your data. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact the data controller by e-mail.

7. Data Deletion

Deleting your account in the Settings section permanently removes all data associated with it, including events, arenas, results and statistics.
